Event Rentals
& Building Reservations
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Asheville has several spaces available to rent for individuals and groups who contribute to the furtherance of our Mission and Ends Statements as listed in our  Governance Document. Â
Our Spaces
A Note on Accessibility:   While all of our spaces are independently accessible for community members with limited mobility, travel between them is not.  Both the Sanctuary and  23 Edwin are equipped with ramp entrances and accessible parking, and the lower level of our main building has access from our rear, gravel lot. However, there is no elevator between floors in our main building.
Kitchens
Our campus has two kitchens, one attached to Sandburg Fellowship Hall and one at 23 Edwin. While these are not commercial kitchens and not equipped to fully cater an event, they do include the resources for coffee services, (industrial coffee pots and percolators in our Sandburg Kitchen) and all the necessary amenities to prepare smaller quantities of snack foods, or plenty of room for a third party caterer to stage dishes.
Kitchens must rented in conjunction with other rooms.
Additional Fees and Services
In addition to Room Rental Fees, some renters may incur other charges. For most events, a member of staff, known as a Building Coordinator, is required on-site and staffing fees apply. Â Recurring renters whose events do not include food, additional set-up, or more than 30 participants may forgo building staff and instead be issued a building key. This requires a $50 key deposit and a signed key agreement.
Other possible fees are tied to ministerial, music, and AV services. For a more thorough reference check out our event services guide.
Service Recommendations
We do not provide in-house services like catering, floristry, or photography. However, we are happy to recommend some trusted, locally-owned businesses!
