Youth Conferences, Camps, and Events: UU Asheville encourages our kiddos and teenagers to explore the larger UU network and connect with other young UUs from around the region and country. The Mountain, a UU retreat and learning center, hosts multiple youth (and other) gatherings each year and is just 2 hours away in Highlands, NC. Our congregation typically sends groups each Fall and Spring for weekend-long fun and experiential bonding in this special place. Many of our kiddos also enjoy the tradition of MountainCamp each summer, and some even rise to become Pals or Counselors. Our high school youth group takes an immersive trip most summers to explore, learn, serve, and engage in a variety of enriching and faith-deepening activities together. Active participants in Coming of Age (CoA) or YRUU high school youth group may be eligible to travel with us.
